The exterior of the ball shouldn’t be too soft either, however the rougher it is, the less control you have over the ball. softer material allows for more oversight and authority over the ball. Furthermore, I recommend purchasing a ball that was constructed together by thermal bonding. Thermal bonding is a great alternative to stitching as it allows the ball to last for longer time periods.
